PS&D has had the amazing opportunity to team up with the Boys and Girls Club of Kaua’i, NAPA Auto Care of Kauai, Bumper & Dent Co., and Kauai Vehicle to donate a car to a young man who is an alumnus of the Boys and Girls Club. As a Kauai auto body repair shop, we make it a priority to focus on our community, this giveaway was a part of those efforts.
The giveaway consisted of collaborative restoration between the companies reviving a used car for the winner. This process included PS&D Tires putting in four new tires and re-doing the brakes on the 2009 Chevy Cobalt. John Ishibashi performed the under the hood work including troubleshooting light and ensuring the engine is running properly. BAD Company finished the job off with a nice paint job. At the end of their efforts the car was looking great and running smoothly so it could be handed over to the car recipient, Mikaela Brown.
Mikaele Brown, a student at Kauai Community College, was the lucky recipient of the car. And it was gifted to him on his birthday! This wasn’t the first time PS&D has worked on and distributed a car, in the past we donated another vehicle to the Kauai Christian Academy thanks to the support of David Moore and his family. As a part of our promise to give back to the community, PS&D recognizes the value that a gifted car could have in an individual’s life, we are inspired by the opportunity to give back in collaboration with the organizations on the island that we know make a difference!
At PS&D we make it a priority to give back to the people of Kaua’i. This giveaway was a part of our many efforts to support the community as an indicator of our appreciation for Kauai’s people and how they keep us going!
